Portland, Maine – Woodhull, an integrated architecture, construction, and millwork firm, proudly announces that two of its residential projects are featured in the newly released design books: Parklife Hideaways, published by Gestalten, and New View: A Curated Visual Gallery – Twenty Magnificent Homes by Northeast Architects, published by Benton Buckley Books.

Parklife Hideaways, partnered with Parks Project, showcases dream dwellings that minimize their footprint while maximizing appreciation for nature's wonders. Woodhull’s Pieri Pines project was selected to be featured alongside cozy cabins and seaside cottages. This timber-clad lakefront family home in Otisfield, Maine, stands out for its unique collaborative approach between three brothers, their families, the Woodhull design team, and Bartow Construction. The result is a haven with three equal primary bedrooms, where communal spaces prioritize familial bonds. The material palette is simple: wood dominates the framing, and most surfaces are complemented by glass and metal. Local eastern white cedar siding, softly stained, echoes the textures and colors of the surrounding trees and stones. Familiar materials take on a new form in this thoughtfully designed retreat.

Another Woodhull project, Spears Hill, finds its place in New View: A Curated Visual Gallery – Twenty Magnificent Homes by Northeast Architects. This 344-page hardcover coffee-table book explores 20 extraordinary homes set against diverse landscapes ranging from rocky coasts to the Manhattan skyline and tranquil Vermont mountain towns. Situated above Casco Bay, Spears Hill was envisioned for a couple with a lifelong appreciation for design. The home comprises three box-like structures with a modern aesthetic that maximizes water views. Custom craftsmanship, mixed materials, and thoughtful landscaping create a seamless flow of space inside the home, with meticulous attention to every detail.

"We are honored to have our projects showcased in these newly published design books alongside such design-forward homes," remarked Caleb Johnson, Founding Principal with Woodhull. "This recognition is a testament to our team's expertise in creating homes that transcend mere structures to become living experiences. They showcase a commitment to thoughtful and enduring design and craftsmanship."

Parklife Hideaways and New View: A Curated Visual Gallery – Twenty Magnificent Homes by Northeast Architects are available on Amazon.com or in retail bookstores.
