AIA Maine will host the annual AIA New England Conference and Design Awards in the Old Port section of Portland, Maine, during the weekend of October 3-5, 2008. AIA New England members should be receiving a call for entries in late May.
Design Awards information to be mailed in late May.
Design Awards registration deadline late June.
Design Awards entry submissions due late in July.
Jury will meet the weekend of March 22, 2008. Jury members are Andrea Leers, FAIA, Tim Love, AIA, and David Hingston, AIA. Hilary Bassett will serve as ex-officio. Winners will be notified the week of March 24th. Maine Home & Design magazine will feature Design Awards 08 as a feature article in the June 08 issue. The Awards Banquet will be held at Bowdoin College on June 11. All entries will be on exhibit at Bowdoin's newly-renovated Walker Museum from June 11-24. The exhibit will then travel to the Bangor Public Library for July and the University of Maine/Augusta gallery in August. The exhibit will also be on display at the AIA New England Conference in Portland, October 3-5, 2008.
