…but it is critical for the future of our communities. In recognition of this fact, AIA Maine has formed its own Committee on the Environment (COTE). An initial meeting of the COTE was held on January 18th at the Freeport Public Library.
The intention of the meeting was to create a mission statement, set goals for the committee and create a program for the Chapter meeting on March 15th. Mission accomplished. Possible activities are being explored by committee members and an intriguing program is being put together for March 15th. An invitation to the March Program will be sent to all members as plans are firmed up.
Current AIA members of the COTE include: Bruce Anderson, Carol DeTine, Dean Bingham, Dominic Paul Mercadante, Frank Roberts, John Gordon, Jon Boyd, Lance Fletcher, Mac Collins, Mike Charek, Mike Lassel, Morris Hancock, Nancy Barba, Richard Graves, Stuart Crocker, and Richard Willing, Special Projects Coordinator.
If you’d like to contribute to the work of this committee, please attend the next meeting on Wednesday, February 22nd, from 8 to 10 AM, at the Freeport Public Library or contact Lance Fletcher at lfletcher@rcn.com.
