UMA Approved—Now What?

Books, Books and More Books

The National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) is requiring that within three (3) years, the architecture book resources at the University of Maine, Augusta (UMA) Library be increased to a significantly larger collection of 5,000 volumes. Currently the UMA Katz Library has about 1,000 books.

The Boston Architectural Center (BAC) and UMA are jointly asking architects and architectural firms in Maine and throughout New England search their personal and professional libraries for any books they might donate to the Katz Library. Books on design, urban planning, renowned architects, history, styles, technology or other related architectural subject matter will be gratefully accepted by UMA.

If you have any volumes that you can donate, please contact Jay Hoffman, Head Librarian, at 1-877-UMA-1234.

Thank You

The faculty, students and staff in the BA in Architecture at UMA wish to extend their profound thanks to the administrations and staff at UMA and the BAC for working so tirelessly and creatively in support of this momentous development in the program and architecture education in Maine. We also wish to thank, in advance, those who can donate precious and needed resources to the library.
